Customizing Call-to-Action (CTA) Buttons in Smile Virtual
When patients receive a virtual consultation from their doctor on Smile Virtual, they can view the consultation video directly from their dashboard. The page appears as shown below:
Default CTA Buttons
On this dashboard, patients will see two call-to-action (CTA) buttons by default:
- Book an Appointment
- Have Questions? Contact Us
How they work:
- When a patient clicks Book an Appointment, the doctor receives a notification indicating that the patient is requesting an appointment.
- When a patient clicks Have Questions? Contact Us, an email window opens so the patient can send a message to the practice.
These two options are available by default. However, Smile Virtual doctors can modify these CTA buttons either from the Page Settings page or while creating a virtual consultation for a patient.
New Enhancement: Customizable CTA Options
We have introduced a new enhancement that allows doctors to fully customize their CTA buttons.
You can now:
- Change the CTA button labels (for example: Email Me, Call Us, Book a Consultation, etc.)
- Add the required action details such as:
- Email address
- Contact number
- Appointment booking URL
Once configured, the customized buttons will appear on the patient’s dashboard.
Note: Doctors can skip this setup and continue using the default CTA buttons if preferred.
This enhancement allows you to tailor patient interactions based on your workflow and preferred communication methods, helping improve engagement and response rates.
